As we all start to return from the festive period and settle in for 2018, our MB 5D team are hitting the ground running with the next round of work in Malaysia with contracting giant MMC-Gamuda, on the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) project which is delivering an additional 25 above ground and 11 underground rail stations in Kuala Lumpur.

Matt Hemming, Partner and a team of 5D QS’s from our Brisbane office are ready for take-off this week to embark on our next four week KL adventure. And it is definitely an adventure – from solving complex cost and time problems in a live environment to training and implementing our unique 5D & 4D workflows and everything in between, there is never a dull moment.

Mitchell Brandtman first became involved in the project with MMC-Gamuda during late 2016, when MMC-Gamuda reached out across the globe to find 5D & 4D BIM experts to assist in their BIM implementation and delivery journey. It has definitely been an exciting role for us. We dream about the opportunity of applying our 5D & 4D skills and workflows on a massive multi-billion dollar scale such as this and to see the results in a live environment and at an undeniable scale reinforces our belief and drive to leverage BIM

Matt is extremely proud of what the team has achieved on this project – it has far exceeded our own expectations and to witness firsthand the positive impacts our skills and workflows have had on the project, the wider Gamuda business and individual project teams has been very rewarding to say the least.
